Felt cords have a variety of uses and are very easy to make.

You can make them soft to use in your work, make them a little harder and you can mould them into jewellery or make them ramrod hard to cut up into beads and buttons.

Meet Your Tutor - Kate Horner

Kate Horner is an artist and an educator. Her work has been exhibited internationally and she has been teaching for many years.

She set up ArtyBird Carnforth in 2007 and it has gone from strength to strength. She teaches Felt-Making, Weaving, Embroidery, Creative Computing and Creative Textiles. As well as teaching technique, she has always championed the importance of design.
She has received a prestigious Medal for Excellence as a tutor from City & Guilds in her field
