TESTIMONIALS

What our students say:

"The courses are well structured, comprehensive and fun to do. The tutors are experienced artists and textile artists who provide clear instruction and guidance, giving the students a thorough grounding in the different subjects. But they do more too, as they also take the time to encourage and support the students to explore and develop their own creative skills and to find their own artistic voices."

Frequently asked questions

What can I expect from Artybird courses?

The short, self-directed courses are a mix of video and PDF, to be completed in your own time and at your own pace.  The courses cover different aspects of textile design and creation.  Each course is clearly aimed at a particular skill and knowledge level.  The courses fit together, allowing you to build the right learning pathway that is right for you.  As long as Artybird Carnforth is around you’ll have access to the courses you buy!

What access do I have to the course tutors?

Free online seminars for the community will be regularly run where you can learn extra skills and techniques as well as ask questions. Small paid for study groups are also available if a group of the community wish to get further help with their course and projects. Individual 1-2-1 sessions can be requested if you need specific guidance. On purchase of a course, you join the Artybird community of like minded creatives with opportunities to share your own learning and support one another in your textile journeys.

What materials will I need?

Firstly, when specific materials are required, these are listed as recommendations in a downloadable PDF you can view before buying the course.  In many cases we have organised with our supplier to provide access to a single price course pack of all the materials that you’ll need to follow along with the course exercises.  Finally, we run a college shop if you need to top up on any particular tools or materials.

How do I report an issue?

At any point from sign up through to success you can email the LOVELY Alison (aka Arty Admin) who will be able to take your question or query and create a solution for you!  All you have to do is email Alison at alisonseddonabc@gmail.com with your question or query.
