This exciting exploration of Textiles will give you a foundation in Design. This pathway is very much driven by Kate's own work and research, combining multiple textile areas. Although a structured approach, you will have the flexibility to start to explore your own design ideas, whilst gaining knowledge of techniques in different craft areas.

Meet your Tutor - Kate Horner

Kate Horner is an artist and an educator. Her work has been exhibited internationally and she has been teaching for many years. She set up ArtyBird Carnforth in 2007 and it has gone from strength to strength. She teaches Felt-Making, Weaving, Embroidery, Creative Computing and Creative Textiles. As well as teaching technique, she has always championed the importance of design.

She has received a prestigious Medal for Excellence as a tutor in her field from City & Guilds.
